Meet Christina & Daniel.
Christina and Daniel are a married couple and are founders of Small Vans Big World. They are located in North West Indiana, about an hour from Chicago. They have a passion of traveling the world and exploring God's creation. In 2019, they set their minds on converting their first van. After many months of research and creating concepts of van layouts and system optimizations they bought their first van, a 2019 Ford Transit, and converted it into a tiny house on wheels. The first van build was a process of about 3 months, however their passionate about sustainability and free energy and that's what drove them to invest in their van. And now, when their van is filled with water, food and gas... they have the freedom to go wherever they want in a off grid home on wheels.

Daniel has completed his bachelor degree the study of architecture in the year 2016. He has experience and knowledge to create precise and detailed drawings and rendering of project ideas. Not only that, he has many years of experience in construction, from framing, electrical, plumbing, and more. In 2017 he started his own construction business. He has done countless of renovations, remodeling and repairs since then and is an expert in his field of work. Daniel is very particular when is comes to design and build. He believes every design should have a purpose. He only uses good quality products and materials with the intentions that all he works on will stand the test of time. With that in mind, you can trust him to take you through the van build process from conceptual design to the final product!

Christina is passionate about anything that is creative. She thrives on putting elements together to make a beautiful space. She pays very close attention to detail, design and color. Although she enjoys making things look aesthetically pleasing and beautiful, it is important that her design is functional as well. The way we like to look at it, Christina has the vision and Daniel builds. Christina is very hands on during the van build and takes charge of painting or gives Daniel a helping hand. Christina will be working closely with the client throughout the whole van build process from start to finish. She will be ensuring that the client's visions and dreams come to life by putting together a mood board. Christina will make sure that everything is running smoothly and she will keep the client updated with the van build.

Many people are intrigued by the idea of van life because of all the unlimited possibilities it represents. However some let their dream pass because of lack of skills or not being able to buy an expensive converted van. That is why we founded Small Vans Big World. We want to make van life accessible to anyone and everyone and not letting price be a deterring factor. Starting a big project like this can be overwhelming, but we want to ensure you that we will be working together closely and creating ideas together so that your van is custom and special for your needs. In a tiny space, it is important to us that no space is left unused, and that design elements in your van are multipurpose. It is important to us that every van build implements sustainable, self-sufficient characteristics that allow you to be more independent.
